2016: We spent two weeks France. No nature hikes this time, but we enjoyed sharing most of the trip with our BFF’s Ann & John Boughtin. We spent time in Paris, the Dordogne region, and the Loire valley where we took this selfie at Chenonceau. We especially loved the Alsace region where we stayed in Colmar and spent a day on a fantastic wine region tour.
We were in France, far from Florida, when a gunman opened fire, killing 49 people in an Orlando nightclub called the Pulse. In Paris, we happened upon a demonstration in support for Orlando. We were especially moved by the “Paris Love Orlando” sign and the thousands participating in the demonstration.
