While in Germany we received the sad news that Sara’s first husband, George Hagans, had died unexpectedly on the third of December. Sara was married to George, the father of her three girls, Tauren, Lindsey and Brittany, for twelve years. After the divorce, we have all maintained good relations. Even Brendan (Sara and Evan’s son), feels close to George and to George’s son, Eric Richardson-Hagans.
Given this news, we changed our plans and returned to the states to be with family. Since that put us back in the states in mid-December, we have also remained through the holidays. We will fly back to Europe in late January to resume our travels.
And George, we thank you for your life. We will miss you, cherish the memories fondly, and remember you always.
