Where We’ve Hiked

2021: The Portuguese Camino:   We’re hiking  from Porto north to Santiago de Compostela.   We began along the coast from Porto and then back to the Central route leading to Santiago.

2021: The Dingle Way:  The Dingle Peninsula in southwestern Ireland juts out into the north Atlantic Ocean.  With its Irish charm and spectacular scenery, we absolutely loved our beautiful but challenging ten-day hike.

2019 Camino Frances: The best known and traveled route to Santiago de Compostela begins in St. Jean Pied de Port in south western France, across the Pyrenees, and then west across northern Spain to the Cathedral of Santiago. Just short of 500 miles.

2014: Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk across Northern England. We began in St. Bees on the west coast and hiked nearly 200 miles through the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.  We landed on the east coast at Robin Hood’s Bay.

Hiking in Future: We’d like to work some of these hikes into our future travels.

  • The Juliana Trail: 267 kilometer trail through the Julian Alps in Slovenia.
  • The West Highland Way: 154 kilometers heading north from Glasgow in Scotland.
  • Tour du Mont Blanc: 170 kilometers through France, Italy and Switzerland
